Parsa Rad is an award-winning barber and stylist, who is Creative Director at one of the most respected men’s salons in the country, ‘The Refinery’ in London.

His induction into the barbering arts came while still at school; aged 14 he started an apprenticeship with his own barber in his native city Tehran, Iran. After graduating from the barbering college of Tehran he moved to the UK in 2006, managing salons in Glasgow and Leeds, training staff in hairdressing skills and his burgeoning speciality, the wet shave.

After moving to London and completing the ‘Vidal Sassoon’ barbering course - where he trained the staff in the use of the cut-throat razor - and Hair Science at Philip Kingsley. He rose through the ranks at ‘The Refinery’, becoming Creative Director in 2012.

In 2014 Parsa won the title of ‘Best British Wet Shave Barber’ at the British wet-shave championships, held in Cardiff and run by the British Barber’s Association, after winning the London heat. He has made numerous media appearances including BBC GQ, Harrods magazines, and was named one of the best barbers in London by ‘Esquire’ magazine as well as Ambassador of Braun.
